Abigail goes west

to Expo West

Hi friends,

I’m writing a day later than usual because things have been hectic, in a good way. I’m headed to California on Tuesday to attend Expo West, a huge trade show for the food and beverage industry, and then will stay out in California for a few extra days to see family and friends. It’s my first time at Expo and people have given lots of helpful advice—mostly around wearing super comfortable shoe and building in breaks.

This article is hilarious and also probably very fact based (Angela and I ordered compression socks after reading it). We’re cohosting a fun party and have some clients who will be exhibiting and I’m really looking forward to supporting them as well as meeting lots of new people from different sides of the industry.

Last time I was in LA in May of 2023, right before I started my job!

By this time next week, I’m sure I’ll be exhausted, dehydrated, and desperate for a real meal (there are a lot of samples at Expo so you do the kind of snacking where you’re both too hungry and too full).
