Hi there,
I’m checking in with a long to-do list ahead of me (always true right?). It’s a busy season in many areas of life and I’m feeling a bit overwhelmed (the events going on in the world are obviously not helping, it’s really tragic what’s happening on multiple levels). Since starting a new job (that I love), I’ve had a less flexible schedule than I did as a freelancer. This is a worthwhile trade off in my opinion, but it means little things that I used to be more on top of are piling up: returns, responding to certain emails, laundry (always laundry), vacuuming, booking trips or appointments. I’ve talked to a few friends about this and some have hyper sophisticated Notion templates to optimize their personal lives (much respect, but I can’t do that) and most of them said that things just don’t get done and it’s somehow okay? That was very reassuring and somehow surprising to hear. Everyone just feels behind all the time but somehow we continue.
That’s a tough pill to swallow for a perfectionist Virgo oldest daughter (yes I’m annoying). But it has to be true.
