London Calling

A familiar destination and a new perspective

Tonight I’ll be on a plane to London with Dale! There will be an abbreviated newsletter on Monday, a very exciting Q&A next week, and then no newsletter on October 3rd.

This trip marks my first time leaving the country since 2019 and my first time traveling internationally with Dale, though Key West did feel like another country. It will be my third time visiting London but it’s been almost 5 years, so there’s a lot of new things to see (I remember Meghan and Harry had just announced their engagement). I’m hoping to strike a good balance of walking around, riding the tube, eating, sightseeing, going to museums, and being spontaneous. We’ll also get to spend quality time with my cousin Teal who’s living there and I’m so excited to see her. This feels very fancy to say, but the publisher of an anthology I’m contributing to is based in London so I’ll get to meet the editor in person over lunch! The anthology, Serving Up, is now fully funded and publication details are coming soon.
