I’ve never been one for vision boards (I’m a words person though I did waste a lot of time on Pinterest in college and looking at them now is very funny). I try to avoid setting rigid and punitive goals because I already have a tendency to be quite self critical and what we want changes over time (hence, Gentle January). If I had the life I wanted at 18, I would be very unhappy.
A bucket list feels right for this season of life, where I’m adjusting to a new job, about to enter a new decade, and trying to enjoy the ride. I included a few items from May because summer is a state of mind. I won’t check everything off but that’s not the point. I’ll write an update at the end of the summer and would love to hear what’s on your bucket list. Inspiration for this comes from Joy the Baker, who I have been reading for years. The Inspiration for Gentle January also came from a column from Karlee Flores on the site and I just think Joy is really great and wise.
