Hi friends,
It’s the longest day of the year, the summer solstice, and I’m so glad. Summer has its challenges but my baseline happiness is much higher when we have more daylight and I don’t have to be cold all the time.
With that said, I love a loose summer bucket list (here’s last year’s) to inspire some fun and focus on the right things. This year’s theme was inspired by a walk I took on Saturday night. Lizzi and I were on our way to Lighthouse and rambling our way there, crossing the street to find shade, when I saw a box outside of an apartment. Inside there were a few books and a brand new pair of Reformation sandals, in my size. I examined them for wear, tried them on, and wore them to dinner and the Culture awards. I plan to wear them many more times. I’ve been on a hunt for more summer shoes that’s involved a bunch of returns (my least favorite adult task) and it was so delightful to simply find a pair of shoes right in front of me after all the hassle. My goal this summer is to look for stuff in unexpected places and be patient if things are moving differently than I expected. Also, to eat lots of ice cream.
Now, let’s get into the list! As always, I’d love to hear what’s on yours!
