Rabbit, rabbit, it’s February!
This was the biggest Gentle January yet—I loved seeing so many people apply this framework to the first month of the year and I hope it helped you in some way. I did some reflecting on less Gentle Januarys in years past, I cooked a lot (this cookbook has been full of hits), I’m on season five of Grey’s Anatomy. I have been drinking more water thanks to a water bottle I got to keep at the office. Being sick for the first third of the month adjusted my expectations for things and led to some interesting developments. I didn’t hit any fitness PRs or walk very much but I did wind up doing Dry January for because I did a third of it without trying and decided to finish out the month. I can write more about that if people are interested. I tried to be flexible with how the month turned out, to not force plans and to embrace nights in. I bought some good groceries, managed to not bite my nails, and drank lots of seltzer.
Winter isn’t over but January is.
