Do you remember the first time you saw the Pharrell Maggie Rogers video? An old coworker of mine went to summer camp with her and showed me back in 2017, in a cubicle under fluorescent lights. I got hear her perform last October and in addition to songs off her new album, she sang Alaska, a song that I’ve always loved but have really been playing on repeat over the past month or so. She also graduated from NYU 9 years ago, wild!

And I walked off an old me

I have been walking over this spring and it feels really good. I’ve always liked to take walks, both for fun and as a mode of transportation, but my ex did not. I sat in lots of short distance ubers that really weren’t necessary and that is no longer.

Sometimes I walk in a stubborn way, sometimes in a sad way, sometimes in a can’t help but lip sync to whatever song I have on repeat. New York is a great place to walk around, even if you don’t really have anywhere to go.
