I started making my own granola a little over a month ago and it’s really renewed my enthusiasm for breakfast—I’m sharing my recipe here (which is inspired by
’s riff on the Eleven Madison Park recipe) and am also sharing my other favorite breakfast concepts. Personally, I get into weekday breakfast routines for months at a time and then I get very sick of the foods and need to switch things up, either superficially or dramatically. You won’t see any oatmeal on this list because I ate it almost exclusively for breakfast for over ten years and can’t do it anymore. Oatmeal is a great breakfast and we’re on a break right now.
