sending you lots of love!!!! wanting different things is a very important and correct reason to break up. that’s what happened with me with my BF of 7 years, now i’m married with a kid (what i wanted, he didn’t). hoping for the best for you!!!
Sending you a big hug. I became a widow at 31 and a SATC rewatch was one of the many ways I got through that time. That was 2017 — when you started this newsletter! So so much has changed since then. I can’t wait to see what’s ahead for you and what you’ll discover ❤️
Proud of you!! I fully support the cat plan. More than 14 years ago I adopted my cat Lola after a breakup of my own & she’s been by my side ever since, through new jobs & relationships & moves across the country. They’re truly the best little companions ♥️
Sending you hugs right now. I pretty much dropped off of substack due to emotional life things, and am just now venturing back out... so I can relate. Here's to all sorts of hope for the new chapter you're starting.
I am so proud of you for sharing this with all of your readers. While I am sure this was extremely difficult to write, I hope that it was also a bit therapeutic. Please relax and regroup on your trip and come back knowing that a new and exciting life awaits you in NY. You are strong, young and resilient and will make it thru this and be better off on the other side. Love you so much!
Transitions are hard, but I know you'll emerge with an even bigger and more beautiful life. We always do! Sending you good thoughts and hopes for many excellent snacks to help you through this time. 💛
Sending you all the hugs and support you need. I was 32 when I got divorced and even though it was somewhat amicable, it was still hard and so very painful. Please give yourself grace, embrace the opportunity to get to know yourself a little better, and lean on the support of friends. You have an amazing community. The best piece of advice I have ever received about grief is the reminder that it is not linear (despite how the "stages of grief" are designed to make us feel), it is a spiral and some days will definitely be harder than others. Love yourself through them all.
💜💜sending you a big big hug. Breakups are horrible in the moment but SO great in retrospect. Give yourself the grace to be a sad girl now knowing you’re strong in ur sadness and will be a stronger girl when you’re ready!
There’s something so melancholy about giving a relationship your all and having it not work out. It is painful but there is so much beauty in starting your new life chapter. Sending so much love!
So, so sorry to hear this, Abigail! Sending you good vibes and good thoughts -- if it helps, I've been there too. Really glad you have the good friends you mention, and it sounds like they're giving you some great support. I know this time is really hard, but wishing you all the best ❤️
How beautifully written, even through the heart break. And what a wonderful community and series of meals to center it all! Excited for your next chapter
proud of you for sharing this! and wow great reminder on Carrie's age for SATC? your 30s will be the best yet!!
Thank you, Rachel!! Yes to enjoying our 30s!

Okay this comment is so life affirming, thank you, Mindy!! 🙏
Cats always make everything better. The Cat Distribution System will work its magic sooner than you think.
So excited for my future cat!
Ditto. Boombox is excited for you!
Sending you a huge hug, Abigail. And will send a williamsburg pizza to your newly-saged apartment as soon as you move back in. xoxoxo
You’re the best! Pizza always helps!
